In our Brentwood showroom, we have on display 10 waterbeds in bothhardsideandsoftsidestyles.
Hardside waterbeds are your classic waterbed style that became popular in the 1970s. They consist of a hard-sided bed frame (constructed of either finished wood or upholstery) that is used to contain the sides of the flexible vinyl bladder and maintain the rectangular form of the mattress. These mattresses and frames sit upon a deck or pedestal.
Softside waterbedsprovide a more contemporary appearance and look just like a typical mattress and box spring. They are constructed using a high-density foam border to hold the shape of the waterbed mattress. The mattress is often covered with a removable zippered pillow-top. A traditional box spring may be used.
